Adult Watercolor Sketchbook Mini Course 4 weeks, 2-hours each 6:15-8:15 pm NEW DATES!!! Mondays, Oct 5, 12, 26, Nov 2 (*Skip Oct 19th) 4-Week Creative Exploration for Beginner-Intermediate Watercolor Artists, or Anyone who Wants to Develop a Sketchbook Practice. Have you ever wanted to explore watercolor without the pressure of creating a “finished” painting? In this 4-week Watercolor Sketchbook Mini Course, we’ll discover the joy of using a sketchbook as a place to play, experiment, learn, and make mistakes. A sketchbook permits you to explore without worrying about perfection! Together, we’ll explore with curiosity rather than expectation. The goal is to develop a comfortable, playful art practice that you can continue long after the course ends. Over 4 weeks, we'll explore: The basics of color theory & how colors work together. The versatility of a size 12 round brush Experiment with salt and mist. Loosen up and embrace experimentation Work with seasonally inspired prompts designed to encourage creativity and observation. Receive sketchbook prompts to continue exploring between classes. Share and discuss our homework together at the beginning of the following class. Dates: Mondays, Oct 5, 12, 26, Nov 2 (**Skip Oct 19th) This class welcomes artists at any stage of their artistic journey, as we will be guiding you along the way. Guest instructor: Amanda McIntyre Materials needed for class: • Size 12 Round Brush • Size 2 Liner Brush • Watercolor Paints with a nice variety of colors (any brand with good saturation). I personally use Windsor and Newton paint tubes. I find painting with tubes better for mixing colors. • Watercolor journal: The watercolor paper must be cotton. Cancellation Policy
Unless otherwise noted, classes are recommended for beginner to intermediate levels. Artists should be enrolled within their school age groups. **Class is for age 7 and up** NO exceptions. Summer camp is for age 7 & up. Age varies for workshops- note descriptions. No water bottles or food permitted in the studio. No make-up Classes at this time. Artists missing a class/workshop do so at their own loss. No refunds or prorates for missed classes. Our Policies for Class, Camp, and Workshops can also be found on our website https://www.artclasswithmary.com/policies -Individuals who withdraw from their course (6-week art class) within 2 weeks before it begins, may do so less $35 processing fee. -An enrolled student withdrawing 1 week before, or after, it begins will receive no refund, unless outstanding circumstances exist (e.g medical condition with Dr note, or extreme family emergency). However credit can be extended to a class of equal value, minus any classes attended and less a $35 processing fee. -$35 fee to change summer camp weeks IF there is availability Art Camp Withdrawl/Refund Policy: * If notice is given 90 days or more before the start date: full refund is given less a $35 processing fee. * If notice is given 60 days, before the start date: a refund is given less a $60 processing fee. * With less than 30 days' notice given, no refunds will be given. * Students who fail to show up, will not be refunded. Class cancellations due to inclement weather or unexpected circumstances will be notified via email, and posted on social media.
