Nature Gelli Printmaking Workshop 14 and up!

Monday,  Oct 7th

Learn to create a Monotype Nature Printing with a Gelli Plate

A Gelli plate is a great way to make natural eco-prints using the beautiful offerings of nature!

We’ll learn to work with leaves, ferns, and flowers to build unique botanical gel prints.

Our goal will be to create botanical monoprints that can stand independently or be used in collage.

Plus how to use botanical items, such as leaves, ferns, and flowers as textures and masks for gel printing.

All supplies are included, but please bring some flowers and leaves to help create variety in our prints!

Suitable for beginners and intermediate artists.

You will leave this workshop having produced a variety of prints that stand alone or can be developed further in mixed-media projects

Included in your workshop fee

use of a Gelli plate

paints

some nature elements: flowers, and leaves, (please bring some from home too!)

stencils, and other items

Printmaking paper

BRING:

Grab some fresh flowers, leaves &, weeds on your way!

Can be from a nature walk, or the floral section of the grocery store

Your contribution will add to the variety of prints we will make

Note, wilted plants can be difficult to work with so fresh is better.

Plants that work well:

• Grasses

• Leaves with lots of veins

• Flowers with flat or small centers

• Anything with lots of visual texture
