Adult Floral Watercolor Mini-Course Three consecutive weeks, 2-hour session each 6:15 - 8:15 pm This mini course is for Adult artists looking to expand their watercolor knowledge. Perfect for beginner to intermediate artists. Class 1: April 27 Class 2: May 4 Class 3: Mary 11 Must attend all 3 days 6 hours of class time This beginner-to-intermediate-friendly course explores various watercolor techniques for creating both loose and detailed florals. We will focus on using watercolor brushes to create organic shapes, while also covering color theory and composition. We welcome artists at any stage of their artistic journey, as we will be guiding you along the way. Guest instructor: Amanda McIntyre -First Class: Explore watercolor techniques and brushwork for organic petal shapes. We will also discuss color theory and how to develop a sophisticated color palette for floral art. - Second Class: Learn to sketch cosmos and magnolia flowers. We will demonstrate how to add layers of opaque watercolor washes to create dimension and depth as we begin a detailed magnolia piece. - Third Class: Review sketching and layering techniques to add further depth to our work. We will spend this session completing our detailed magnolia painting. Please bring the following to class: - Watercolor Set: Any set ranging from student-grade (e.g., Crayola) to professional-grade (e.g., Winsor & Newton). Ensure your set offers a good variety of colors and high saturation. - Paintbrushes: One size 12 round brush and one liner brush for fine details. Amanda will be using Winsor and Newton watercolor tubes: • Cadmium Yellow • Permanent Rose • Hookers Green Dark • Dioxazine Purple Provided Materials: - Watercolor paper - Painter's tape - Water containers and towels - Additional paints and inks for finishing touches Third class: The entire class will need to paint the flowers drawn in the first class. Amanda will demo and walk around to assist. We meet 3 times, 2 hours each class. Class size is capped for a safe environment and an excellent teacher/student ratio. Free parking behind the building!

Cancellation Policy
Unless otherwise noted, classes are recommended for beginner to intermediate levels. Artists should be enrolled within their school age groups. **Class is for age 7 and up** NO exceptions. Summer camp is for age 7 & up. Age varies for workshops- note descriptions. No water bottles or food permitted in the studio. No make-up Classes at this time. Artists missing a class/workshop do so at their own loss. No refunds or prorates for missed classes. Our Policies for Class, Camp, and Workshops can also be found on our website https://www.artclasswithmary.com/policies -Individuals who withdraw from their course (6-week art class) within 2 weeks before it begins, may do so less $35 processing fee. -An enrolled student withdrawing 1 week before, or after, it begins will receive no refund, unless outstanding circumstances exist (e.g medical condition with Dr note, or extreme family emergency). However credit can be extended to a class of equal value, minus any classes attended and less a $35 processing fee. -$35 fee to change summer camp weeks IF there is availability Art Camp Withdrawl/Refund Policy: * If notice is given 90 days or more before the start date: full refund is given less a $35 processing fee. * If notice is given 60 days, before the start date: a refund is given less a $60 processing fee. * With less than 30 days' notice given, no refunds will be given. * Students who fail to show up, will not be refunded. Class cancellations due to inclement weather or unexpected circumstances will be notified via email, and posted on social media.
