Studio Art Age 10 - 17 90 min class, Thursdays 4:00 - 5:30 pm NEW class length and 10-week Semester course- 15 hours of total class time! SAVE $40! Dates: Sept 14, 21, 28, Oct 5, 12 art show 19, 26, Nov 2, 16 & 30 (art show) SKIP Nov 9 (Teacher's Convention) and Nov 23 (Thanksgiving) In this art education class, we will discuss art history & contemporary artists, plus build confidence, community & job skills.  Traditional fine art skills are taught through demos, practice, conversation, and critiques This course is heavily drawing-based for a foundation, as artists are taught to "see" with artists' eyes.  Artists will be fully immersed in developing their true personal style as we learn, experiment, and review with different media and artistic techniques. We will use pencils, colored pencils, pen & ink, pastel, charcoal, watercolor, collage, mixed media, etc. This Semester course is taught consecutively and filled with new projects, so you can continue to learn all year long and every year from k-12th gr state certified art educator and practicing BFA artist Mary Shadbolt. *Additional challenges are given to artists who are deemed ready to take it to the next level.* Art show on Oct 12th and Nov 30th in the studio Art Materials: You will be emailed a list of art materials to bring in a labeled zip lock bag to the 1st class. OR you can buy an art kit from our art shop online!! My child was in the class last year but it was an hour...? Now it is 90 min! Artists this age need more time to create & I was finally able to make that happen! 2. What is the difference between THIS course, and the 5 week one? When you sign up for 10 weeks, you are guaranteed your seat for the semester, PLUS you save $40! 3. Will this Semester/Bundle be offered again in the New year? If there is enough interest, yes! Drop off 3:55- 4:00 Class. 4:00- 5:30 Pick up 5:30 Class capped to keep artists in a safe & clean studio, and for excellent student/teacher ratio. Cancellation Policy

Our Policies for Class, Camp and Workshops can also be found on our website https://www.artclasswithmary.com/policies Unless otherwise noted, classes are recommended for beginner to intermediate levels. Artists should be enrolled within their school age groups. **Class & Camp is for age 6 and up** NO exceptions. No water bottles or food permitted in the studio at this time. No make-up Classes at this time. Artists missing a class/workshop do so at their own loss. No refunds or prorates for missed classes. -Individuals who withdraw from their course (6-week art class) within 2 weeks before it begins, may do so less $35 processing fee. -An enrolled student withdrawing 1 week before, or after, it begins will receive no refund, unless outstanding circumstances exist (e.g medical condition with Dr note, or extreme family emergency). However credit can be extended to a class of equal value, minus any classes attended and less a $35 processing fee. -$35 fee to change summer camp weeks IF there is availability Art Camp Withdrawl/Refund Policy: * If notice is given 90 days or more before the start date: full refund is given less a $35 processing fee.
 * If notice is given 60 days,  before the start date: a refund is given less a $60 processing fee.
 * With less than 30 days' notice given, no refunds will be given. 
 * Students who fail to show up, will not be refunded.
 Class cancellations due to inclement weather or unexpected circumstances will be notified via email, and posted on social media. ccd C
