True personal expression & style are developed in this class as artists experiment with different media. This course is heavily drawing based as a foundation as artists are taught to "see" with artists eyes. Every 6-week course is filled with new projects, so you can take this class all year, every year! Recommended for beginner to intermediate artists. *Additional challenges are given to artists who are deemed ready to take it to the next level.* The final class includes an art show during the last 10 min, make note now! Art Materials: You will be emailed a list of art materials to bring in a labeled zip lock bag to the 1st class. OR you can buy an art kit from our art shop online!! Just add a set of Micron pens & larger sketchbook to the kit! *The kit will be waiting for your artist on the first day of class FAQs 1. My child is in 9th grade is this class too "young"? NO! 2. My child is in 4th grade, is this class too "old"? NO! The answer to both of these questions lies in the following. The course is taught by a K12 certified Art Educator with over 15 years of teaching experience, who ALSO is a working artist. Assignments are given to the class and then additional challenges are issued via one-on-one discussions with the teacher. While teaching skills & techniques & art history, I see who can be pushed further to make their work excel to high levels.
